OK--this is my first blog and I already have writer's block. Not a good sign. And since I'm being honest, I'll admit that I've never even READ a blog, much less WRITTEN one, but there's evidently a first for everything. I have Tim Wall to thank for this--he's gotten our website up and running and now expects that I'll contribute something. Gee, thanks, Tim. (no really! You've done a great job!)
Our Preservation Review Committee (PRC) meets once a month and is open to the public. If you have a Certificate of Appropriateness (C.A.) application up for review at the Historic Preservation Commission that month, you'll be invited to attend the PRC meeting so our committee can clarify details about your application that will allow it to get approval as easily as possible. Our next meeting is Monday, January 8th, 2007, 5:30, at 822 NW 16th St. The meeting should be brief since there isn't anything very controversial to review.
Feel free to email me with any questions you have about the meetings or Historic Preservation in general. If I don't get in touch right away, it's usually because I'm out of town, so please be patient and I'll get in contact when I return. Try not to be intimidated by the HP process--it's really not that bad, and I'm here to help! And feel free to ask questions on the blog--I'm new at this so I'll be learning as I go. Yikes! I'll probably always be classified as a poser!
