Hopefully all of our Mesta Park neighbors made it out to Mesta Festa on Saturday, September 22. If not, you missed a wonderful day! The weather was perfect, the music was incredible and the art was breathtakingly beautiful and a perfect addition to our neighborhood fall festival.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the following Mesta Festa committee members:
Stephen Kovash, thank you for being so easy to work with and as the Oklahoman put it such a wonderful “art guru”.
Michael Menser, thanks again for being the “man on the scene” and taking on the responsibility of directing participants the day of the festival.
Harry Meister, thank you for getting the brewers and the sound system and for telling me it was all going to be ok, even when you knew it wasn’t!
Cam Husted, thank you for always being there when I needed some last minute help! You have been a wonderful friend. And thanks for organizing the music and chili cook-off!
Dean Newby, thanks for handling the ice and the street barricades! Mary Jane Southwick, thanks for organizing the volunteers and for giving up your OSU tickets to support the hood!
Jay and Lisa Escalon, thanks for all your support!
John Moncrief, thanks for the wonderful t-shirt design!
Michael Persons, thanks for your work with the musicians!
John Clark, King of the poopers/popcorn and pop! Thanks chief!
Doug Smith, Tyler and Erin Wood, Ashlie and Tony Schender what a great group of newbies! Hope you’ll come back next year!
Thank you to the following board members for selling their allotted tickets: Terri White, JB Schuelein, Don Hawkins, Raina Pelofsky, Karen Zimmer, Todd Davis, Ann Dell, Bob Hardy, Cassie Newman and Ann Zachritz.
