Sidewalk reimbursement

The Mesta Park Neighborhood Association (MPNA) introduced its Sidewalk Reimbursement Grant Program in 2003. This program is one of several for which the neighborhood earmarks funds to reinvest in itself. Homeowners who take advantage of this program benefit from funds raised by the neighborhood that are made available as grants while the applicant commits to replace deteriorated sidewalks.

If you are interested in applying for this program, please see the link to the right to download the application.

Here’s how it works:

Owners of residential properties in Mesta Park, who are dues-paying members of the MPNA, are eligible to receive a 50% reimbursement grant. Approval of a qualified grant application will depend on a review by the Sidewalk Committee that considers eligibility (homeowner is member of MPNA), appropriateness of the project (complies with City of OKC Historic Preservation Guidelines*), and fund availability (MPNA budget allowance). An amount equal to the grant maximum will be reserved for the approved applicant’s property. Grant maximums are set at $750 for homes within the block and $1,500 for corner properties who replace sidewalks, front and side. Upon completion of their project, applicants must provide documentation (itemized receipt) from the applicant’s concrete contractor to be submitted to the committee to calculate the reimbursement amount.
