Most of us sustained lots of tree and shrub damage during the ice storm, but do not despair! Once the debris is cleared away (may take awhile) take the opportunity to reassess your landscaping plans. Nature may have gotten rid of some overgrown plants that needed to come out anyway, e.g., bradford pear trees, and old, weak or sick trees. Take a good look at your property, and decide on a new plan that will incorporate trees that can be located in more desirable areas of the yard, will not impinge on the house, or will not block the view. This is an opportunity to start over!
