We all need and want good contractors, but we also know how hard it is to find them. Well. . . Mesta Park to the rescue! With a little help from my friends (namely Tim Wall, our MP web-master and guru, and YOU) I hope to list contractors and allow comments on each listing. Here's what to do:
- Go to www.mestapark.org and click the "About" section of our Home Page. (Please use the Yahoo! browser)
- Go to the far right side and click on "Contractor Resources."
- Review the current list of contractors and make comments about your personal experience with that contractor (be it positive or negative).
- Submit contractors that aren't listed by filling out the form provided. Please give details about he kind of work the contractor does, i.e., lawn care, handyman services, general contractor, electrical services, etc.
- Let me know any other helpful information you'd like to share with fellow Mesta Park residents regarding contractor services or home repair issues by emailing me at hp@mestapark.org.
It's as easy as that! By doing this, you'll be helping us create a Mesta Park database of reliable contractors that we'll all use and update. For example, if you try calling a phone number listed on the contractors list, and the phone is no longer in service, let me know so that I can remove that listing. The site will only be as good as we are, so let's get busy. In fact, other HP neighborhoods can use our site, too, since there's no reason for each of us to create a separate list. I'll keep you posted with how we're doing with the blog, and please send me your ideas for how to improve it. And please thank Tim Wall for all his many hours of hard work on our website--he has truly brought our historic neighborhood into the 21st Century.
